If you are interested in glass making, you can drive 45 minutes by car to Pukeberg, Boda is about an hour away. There is also a museum in Boda. It is 30 km to Kalmar for shopping, take a walk there too. There is a castle, an art museum, a regional museum, a maritime museum, the cathedral, the city park and much more. Öland is not far from here either, you can reach the bridge in 30 minutes. The island is 130 km long and is marked by famous lighthouses at its northern and southern tips. Other places of interest are the Alvaret, Borgholm with Borgholm Castle and Solliden as well as Böda Beach and Eketorp. In the latter town, you can discover art in countless galleries.
