The sea between Piran and Strunjan is a paradise for divers and has both varied animal and plant life as well a few ruins of military ships that were sunk during World War II.
Make the most of the coast

There are sailing schools and opportunities for renting sailboats. The major international boat shows Internautica and Izola Boat Show take place every year in Portoroz and Izola.

The area of Crni Kal is famous for its cliffs perfect for free climbing.
