This cozy vacation home is located in a quiet street in Mariakerke / Ostend 800m from the sandy beach. You live on the first floor and part of the second floor of this beautifully renovated house. The owner lives on the second floor. From the common hall you enter your cottage. The living room is very cozy with dining area, sitting area and digital TV. Behind it is the well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The kitchen opens onto the covered terrace, so you can sit sheltered in all weather conditions. The small open courtyard is well protected, so you never suffer from the wind. The bedrooms are located on the second floor. The double room is completely closed, the room with 2 single beds is closed with a curtain. The safety of small children has been thought of: the stairs are equipped with a stair gate. All windows are equipped with shutters. The street in the immediate vicinity of the cottage offers plenty of free parking.
Our tips for excursions and activities: The Kursaal Oostende offers an event hall next to the casino. The Ensor Museum of the famous painter James Ensor and a museum of contemporary art. Visit the many fish shacks at the fish market or the Mercator in the harbor. You can also travel along the entire coast with the coastal streetcar from De Panne via Nieuwpoort, Ostend, Blankenbergen, De Haan to Knokke. The world famous city of Bruges is only 25 km inland. In addition to boat trips on the canals or a nice walk along the Minnewater Begijnhof and St. Jansklooster, Bruges is a perfect city for shopping. Sporty people are advised to explore the beautiful region around Bruges by bike.
