Heavy timber beams and a stone fireplace give the interior the character of a traditional mountain retreat, complemented by wooden furnishings and a welcoming dining space for shared meals. The rustic atmosphere continues outdoors, where two adjoining stone houses enjoy exclusive use of a private swimming pool and garden surrounded by nature. A wood-fired oven and barbecue encourage leisurely outdoor cooking, while rabbits and other animals add to the rural setting. High in the mountains near Fabbriche di Vallico, the property feels immersed in the landscapes of Tuscany’s Garfagnana region. The mountain access road forms part of this secluded setting. Days can be spent hiking through wooded valleys and exploring traditional villages, with the dramatic scenery of the Apuan Alps and the Serchio Valley inviting further excursions. After time outdoors, the pool, garden and fireside offer contrasting places to unwind.
