This non-smoking holiday home, spread over two storeys, is a detached property situated on the owner’s 1,400 square metre residential plot in a quiet location on the edge of the village and the woodland. Although the exterior façade is not yet fully completed following the conversion of the former outbuilding into a holiday home in 2016, the design and fittings of the interior are very appealing. On the ground floor, there is a living/dining area with an open-plan kitchenette (upholstered bench seat, dining table, flat-screen TV, electric hob with oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, various kitchen appliances), a bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and hairdryer, and a storage room. In the attic (accessed via a space-saving staircase) there is a bedroom with a double bed and a flat-screen TV, and a further bedroom with a single bed. For cooler days, a tiled stove is available on the ground floor as the only heating option (initial supply of firewood free of charge, thereafter 5 EUR per basket). Outside, there is a furnished outdoor seating area, a further small, covered seating area in front of the entrance, a barbecue, secure storage for bicycles you bring with you, and a car park. The total price includes final cleaning, bed linen, towels, and water and electricity consumption. Mobile phone reception in the village is poor, but the accommodation has limited Wi-Fi reception from the host’s neighbouring house. Small dogs with a shoulder height of up to 40 cm are permitted in this property.
Buddenhagen is a lovely village and also a suburb of Wolgast (approx. 11 km), the gateway to the island of Usedom. The village is situated in a vast woodland area, which is ideal for walking and mushroom picking. In the ‘Forest of the Senses’, there are several nature trails and educational paths for young and old, all centred on the theme of the forest and its inhabitants. Ideal conditions, therefore, for nature lovers seeking peace and quiet. The Baltic Sea (Trassenheide seaside resort) is about 20 km away. Thanks to the nearby Usedomer Bäderbahn railway station (about 700 m away), you can travel to the island – and thus to all of Usedom’s Baltic Sea resorts – in a relaxed manner and without having to contend with holiday traffic.
