This beautiful vacation home with private pool in Hérault, 45 minutes from the sandy beaches of Valras, is located in the heart of the Garrigues, on a pretty wooded hillside on the edge of the picturesque village of Pierrerue and a few kilometers from the wine-growing village of Saint-Chinian. If you are looking for tranquility in this beautiful region with its mild climate, this house is for you, 25 km from Beziers and 40 km from the spa town of Lamalou-les-Bains.
Thanks to its unique location on a large private property, it offers the privacy you need. It is located in the middle of a very famous wine-growing area, at the gates of the Haut-Languedoc National Park and the Mediterranean Sea. Your stay will be sweetened by southern scents such as thyme, lavender and rosemary. The owner has made it a point of honor to keep his garden in pristine condition, with no artificial additives or flower beds. Here you will experience the pure Mediterranean flora among laurel groves and aloe vera growing in the shade of tall pines. From the partially covered terrace of the villa you will enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside and the magnificent pool, which is surrounded by a beautiful paved and shaded terrace. You reach the living room from the entrance via a few steps. Then, a five-step staircase takes you to the kitchen and another five-step staircase leads to the bedrooms. Large sliding doors give access to the raised terrace.
Pierrerue is a small village at high altitude with magnificent views of the Saint Chinian Valley. Marked walking and biking trails are everywhere, including a dozen tours of less than 10 km. Nearby are also canoeing center, a boat rental on the Canal du Midi, quads and a small farm, several very interesting markets and of course the beach. In the village itself, a large number of winemakers will be delighted to offer you tastings of their wonderful wines and you may even want to take some bottles of the AOC wine. You can visit the Saint-Chinian market, which is held twice a week, to purchase seafood, truffles, cheeses and charcuterie (Thursday and Sunday mornings).
