Welcome to this beautiful holiday home. The house is an old washhouse and bakehouse from the 19th century and has a lot of exciting history to offer. The kitchen was normally used for baking, brewing and cooking before there was electricity. If you would like to know more about the history of the farm building and the origins of the business, please ask the landlord.
The house has a charm all of its own and the original building is well preserved. Solid wooden walls and high ceilings make the living room and kitchen feel particularly spacious. There has been some modernisation so that the building is functional as a holiday home. A perfect place for those who are looking for something special and want to be close to nature. From the living room and the outdoor area you have a marvellous view of the Hardangerfjord and the mighty mountains. In the mountains you will find good hiking opportunities, there are several hiking trails within walking distance of the house. There are opportunities for picking mushrooms and berries as well as fishing in mountain lakes. In the Hardangerfjord, right on the doorstep, you will also find fishing and swimming opportunities. The area offers great nature experiences, and we recommend travelling to Osa and on to Hardangervidda. Here you can experience the contrasts between sea and mountains while enjoying fantastic views along the way. It is not far to the beautiful village of Ulvik with shops and restaurants. In winter you can enjoy most winter activities in Voss and visit the photo museum The Photographer by the Fjord in the same courtyard and discover historical photographs and film screenings in the cinema hall.
