Also visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Christiansfeld, one of Denmark's most unique towns, founded by King Christian VII in 1773 as a colony for the Brødremenigheden (Moravian Brethren Church) and with a particularly well preserved town center compared to other towns in Denmark. Christiansfeld is also known for its honey cake, which has been baked since 1783.
