The beautiful harbor town of Harlingen is only 14 km away. Here you will find a beach and many stores, but you can also admire the town hall, the lighthouse and the Zuiderhaven marina. From Harlingen, the ferry goes to the Wadden Islands of Vlieland and Terschelling, which are definitely worth a visit. Only 5 km from the vacation home is the town of Franeker, known from the Eleven Cities Tour. Make a visit here to the old town and the planetarium. 22 km from the vacation home is Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland. On cooler days you can visit the indoor playground Aeolus with your children. This playground is only 5 km away and offers a variety of activities. There is especially much to discover in the glass pyramid. The vacation home is located about 7 km from the indoor swimming pool Bloemketerp in Franeker.
