Description

Enjoy your vacation in this cozy furnished boathouse on the water. The boathouse has a spacious terrace that offers a panoramic view of Lake Lauwersmeer while fishing or barbecuing. The boathouse has an open kitchen and a nice living room with wood stove. In the living room there is a double sofa bed, only max 6 persons allowed. In the house the stairs are secured with a grate. The bathroom and bedroom can be reached via a short staircase down and then a narrow path along the boat. Life jackets are provided. The boathouse has its own dock with swim ladder, so you can enter the water from the living room through the dock. For a fee, your boat can be launched into the water. Take your time to explore the fabulous surroundings. The cottage is located at the Lauwersmeer National Park, where you can admire the stunning open landscape and rare birds. Visit the nearby fishing port with information center or relax on the beach of Lake Lauwersmeer, just 500 meters from the vacation home. To Pieterburen it is only 20 km. It is a small village and starting point for mudflat walks. It also houses the famous seal breeding station. The port of Zoutkamp and the town of Dokkum are also very worthwhile destinations. Along the way, you will pass vast meadows and traditional farms. During your vacation, be sure to visit Schiermonnikoog, a characteristic mudflat island with a varied landscape, beaches, dunes, forests and wetlands. The vacation home is located within walking distance from the ferry to the Wadden Island Schiermonnikoog. Directly at the property you can make a trip across the Lauwerssee during the months April - October.
