A little piece of Sweden in the Netherlands. This beautifully located vacation home in Finsterwolde was built in Swedish style by the friendly and dedicated homeowners and lovingly furnished. It has on the first floor a cozy living room overlooking the garden, a fully equipped kitchen with dining table, a bathroom and a bedroom. Via the stairs in the living room you can reach the beautiful open sleeping loft with two single beds. This cottage has a furnished open terrace overlooking the garden and adjacent meadows. A charging station for an electric car and electric bikes is available.
Lake Oldambtmeer is nearby for swimming, fishing and canoeing. Also take a walk or a bike ride through the special polder landscape. In spring the huge rape fields turn the landscape yellow. Fishing is possible at a distance of 300 meters from the vacation home. Experience Winschoten, a pleasant shopping town (5 km) and visit the special hanging kitchens in the authentic town of Appingedam (30 km). The sauna resort Fontana Resort Bad Nieuweschans (12 km) is very popular with German guests. Other nice excursions from this vacation home in Groningen are the museum Landgoed Fraeylemaborg (23 km), the picturesque fortress Bourtange (28 km) and of course the city of Groningen (40 km). Visit with your children the petting zoo 't Speulparadies in Beerta (3 km), the indoor playground De Leeuwenborg in Nieuw Scheemda (11 km), Landgoed Tenaxx in Wedde (18 km) and the Doe Museum in Veendam (21 km). Just across the border in Germany you will find the picturesque city of Leer (40 km) and the beautiful seaport city of Emden (60 km).
