This vacation home is beautifully located on the lake Gerd in the middle of nature with large, beautiful green areas. A swimming spot with a sandy beach is about 2 km from the house. In Virserum you will find museums as well as art galleries, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
A great highlight during the year is the Virserum market, an event you should definitely visit if you rent a vacation home near Virserum on the first Saturday in August. Virserum has had markets since the Middle Ages. Today's version is one of the largest markets in Sweden and can attract up to 70,000 visitors. About 60 km from the house you will find Vimmerby with Astrid Lindgren's World. Nearby attractions include Glasriket, Målilla's moose park, More Castel and more. In winter, Dackestupet is recommended, a complete ski area with downhill and cross-country skiing. Ski equipment can be rented at the resort.
