Enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful view of the Skåne plain, while you can discover a wide range of sights in the surrounding area. Österlen is known for its beautiful nature, the sea and white sandy beaches, as well as the picturesque small town life in Simrishamn and Ystad. Nearby is the popular medieval castle Glimmingehus. Other pleasant destinations include Sweden's southernmost national park Stenshuvud, Kivik, Svabesholms Kungsgård and the mythical Ales stones ??in Kåseberga. Beautiful small fishing villages along the coast are for example Skillinge and Brantevik. There are many open studios, artisans and farm stores in the area. Take the opportunity to buy some of the famous rapeseed oil at the nearby Gunnarshög farm. Österlen also offers many restaurants and cafes, often with locally grown and produced ingredients. The sea and miles of sandy beaches all along the coast can be enjoyed either for swimming and fishing or for long walks on the beach.
