Caltagirone is famous for its millenary history, for its palaces and for its architectural masterpieces, but above all for the ancient tradition in the working of ceramics, which the masters of Caltagirone transform into true masterpieces: streets, gardens, balconies and parks are decorated with splendid majolica in all shapes and colors. Don't miss a visit to the splendid "Villa Romana del Casale" in Piazza Armerina, just 35 km away, and the archaeological site of Morgantina (about 40 km). The apartment, which can be reached by a road next to the Santa Maria staircase, is on two levels. On the first floor there is a nice living room with kitchenette, while on the second floor, accessible by a characteristic stone staircase, there are two large and bright double bedrooms, both with private bathroom. From the rooms you can enjoy an impressive view of the historic Spadaro garden.
