Holiday apartment in a nautical resort in Muggia, a small medieval village just 10 km from Trieste. The shared swimming pool, open from late May to mid-September, is against payment. The pebble beach is only 50 meters from the apartment and the center of Muggia at about 500 meters distance. The accommodation comprises a living room with kitchenette, a double bedroom with sea view, a twin bedroom with a view of the wood and two bathrooms with shower. It also has a terrace overlooking the sea and equipped with outdoor furniture and barbecue, ideal for relaxing and pleasant evenings. Within the resort, just below the apartment, there are a restaurant, bars, shops and other commercial activities. The town of Muggia has a beautiful old town, once an ancient medieval village, city walls and shops. In the oldest part of Muggia lies the Archaeological Park of Muggia Vecchia, inside which stands a Church dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta. The construction of this church dates back to the 10th century. In the village you can also admire the remains of the castle of Muggia dating back to the 14th century. A curiosity: the inhabitants of the village used the castle stones to build their own homes. The strategic location of the resort allows you to organize lovely excursions in the surroundings. Just 10 km away is the city of Trieste, rich in history and attractions and that during the Austro-Hungarian era was the favourite town of many writers such as James Joyce and of the famous psychologist Sigmund Freud. Just 10 km from here is Slovenia, with its small but rich coastline. There are the towns of Portoroz, Piran and Isola, well known and fequented by tourists from all over Europe. Only 32 km from here is Croatia with its charming beaches and crystal clear sea, Mediterranean gastronomy and many places to visit during day trips.
