This holiday apartment, situated at a few kilometers only from the center of the beautiful seaside resort of Santa Maria di Castellabate, offers a nice view over the sea, a large terrace and a pool, both for common use with all the apartments of the holiday complex. Santa Maria di Castellabate welcomes you with long, free or equipped sandy beaches, a beautiful promenade along the sea, numerous coffee bars and small, but excellent restaurants where you can taste the local food and the excellent wines of that area. Do not miss to visit the antique tiny hamlet of Castellabate (UNESCO world heritage site) which overlooks the whole bay of Santa Maria di Castellabate. This small medieval village in the hills has been mentioned for the first time in 1123, and as in the past it is a labyrinth of antique, small houses, romantic alleys, tiny squares with amazing panoramas, hidden trattorias and small coffee bars. On the main square called “piazzetta” you will meet the local population drinking an “espresso” or passing the evening in a small restaurant, and some international tourists who enjoy the wide view over the surrounding hills. Walking to the nearby “Belvedere di San Costabile”, you will enjoy incredible sunsets over the sea. The Cilento is situated in the south Italian region called Campania, between Paestum in the north, Sapri in the south and Vallo di Diano in the east with abt. 100 km coastal line, mountains and abt. 200 small medieval hamlets. Those among you who love history and art should not miss to visit Paestum with three of the most important Greek temples which you will reach in approximately half an hour drive. On the way back to Santa Maria just stop in the small town of Agropoli with its medieval center overlooking the town and reachable by means of large steps called “scaloni”, where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the whole northern coast from the fortress.
