The tiny hamlet of Maroulas is a 5 minute walk away with a couple of tavernas great for an evening stroll when not cooking up a storm on the barbecue. Set on three floors, the swimming pool is situated to the side of the main villa with a terrace for sunloungers and a covered dining area, with a barbecue in the corner for outdoor cooking and dining. The traditional stone exterior reflects Crete's proud heritage with local stone used, and inside, the smart contemporary décor creates a comfortable welcoming atmosphere. The main open plan living dining and kitchen areas are on the ground floor enjoys modern smart décor and patio doors opening onto a balcony which also boasts wonderful panoramas. Up the internal stairs to the first floor are a double and a twin bedroom ( with a balcony) and a bathroom, whilst accessed externally on the lower ground floor is a separate self contained unit with living, dining and kitchen, a double bedroom and shower room, ideal for couples within the group or family looking for a bit more privacy and next to the swimming pool. Platanes beach is an hour stroll or 10 minute drive with a wealth of shops, restaurants bars and cafes and Rethymnon town is a wonder to discover, its ancient cobbled streets a labyrinth of criss-crossing piazzas and plenty of hidden corners to delight in. Fegari is a great villa for winding down and doing as much or as little as you want on your peaceful relaxing holiday!
