Petra is an impressive stone built villa located in an ideal position as the village of Methoni, with its lovely beach and selection of restaurants and bars is within a short stroll or drive. The lovley swimming pool is surrounded by lush greenery and situated outside the main living, dining and kitchen areas, which is blessed with a balcony with wonderful sea views where breakfast is a delight looking out at the coasltine. On the first floor two double bedrooms both enjoy an ensuite shower room and patio doors opening onto balconies where the vistas stretch down the hillsides and Methoni valley to the sea. A barbecue to the side of the pool and house is a guarantee of outdoor dining with a covered dining area perfect for leisurely lunches. The village's main sandy beach owes its shallow waters and gently shelving sand to the protection from strong winds and currents due a small group of islands; Sapientza, Schiza and Santa Marina that gather around the mouth of the port and make it a haven for children. The village is pretty with cobbled streets, a Byzantine church and a rather grand Venitian castle. Methoni has a quayside promenade- a great way to walk off a meal after an evening at a local taverna, and the neighbouring villages of Pylos and Finikounda are only 15 minutes drive, the whole Peloponnese peninsula is a magical place to explroe.
