A great location five minutes drive from pretty Methoni village and a twenty minute walk to the beach, Epavlis offers a great base to relax. It has a lovely private swimming pool and terrace, surrounded by shrubs and hedges with colourful rose bushes on display. Built of local stone in the traditional Peloponnesian style, great views of the sea are enjoyed from the balconies taking in the village of Methoni and in the distance, the Venetian Castle. Comfortable, with modern decor, the villa has the main living, dining and kitchen and a double bedroom on the ground floor, and another double and twin on the first floor. All bedrooms boast patio doors opening onto a terrace or balcony. Methoni is a beautifully preserved mediaeval village famous for its Venetian Castle, juttting out to sea, and narrow streets and village squares. The outlying islands of Sapientza, Schiza and Santa Marina form a natural protection for Methoni harbour, which made a much sought after trading post for the Venetian and Ottoman empires for centuries, now a quintessential Greek fishing village, it provides a quiet backdrop to a restful holiday.
