Deep in the quiet peaceful south of Rhodes, the tiny hamlet of Lahania boasts a lovely long stretch of beach just five minutes drive away, a couple of tavernas, a mini market and the traditional whitewashed cubist houses so evocative of Greece. Diapagio is a cleverly designed villa set amongst an exclusive enclave of accommodations, with a private courtyard offering a hot tub style plunge pool and steps up to a charming roof top terrace that enjoy splendid sunset views. The covered dining area set back from the pool is perfect for leisurely lunches. There are some lovely features such the pastel green domed doors and the domed archway into the ground floor main living and dining areas, that lead off the courtyard with a double bed suspended on the mezzanine platform about the main seating area and a shower room also on the ground floor. The decor is a pretty blend of natural elements of bamboo and rattan set against the back drop of whitewashed walls with wooden rafters and an informal bohemian style. The other double and twin bedrooms both have ensuite shower rooms and all have a handy minibar and flat screen TV. Lahania has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and one can feel a part of the community set in the village, whilst 10 minutes drive is the larger village of Gennadi with more amenities and a further 20 minutes drive is the popular resort of Pefkos and the historic Acropolis of Lindos high on the hill overlooking the stunning village of Lindos. Futher south is Prasonissi, a superb beach specialising in extreme sports, fun to watch or participate in! There is plenty to explore in Rhodes or just stay put and relax in this quintessential Greek holiday home.Due to the unique design of this property, it features some open drops in its surroundings.
