Located next to Afandou beach with lovely sea views, Elysian Afandou is just right for beach lovers! This popular one storey villa has a great swimming pool and spacious swimming pool terrace with a walled garden, plus a handy barbecue for serving up tasty dishes to enjoy around the pool. Fresh sea air hits the spot and for those who love a dip in the sea as well as the pool there is plenty of choice which part of the very large beach to enjoy, with sunloungers and umbrellas closeby, or more unspoilt secluded spots to explore, and some beachfront tavernas for evenings spent under the stars. The villa has an impressive portico offering covered dining spaces and seating spaces to cool down under the Rhodian sunshine, and inside, the contemporary styllish decor is a cool calm oasis with the open plan seating, dining and kitchen areas boasting a spacious indoor space, and the the two double bedrooms each with patio doors leading onto a terrace and a bathroom. Afandou is a large village and the meeting place for the local communities to do their shopping and enjoy a Greek coffee, boasting plenty of shops, bars and restaurants; one of our favourite pastimes is people-watching as everyone goes about their business or relaxing playing backgammon and having a gossip. The nearby beaches are certainly worth a visit, with Tsampika beach or the thermal baths of Kalithea, and Antony Quinn bay a 10 minute drive. Further north is Rhodes Town, with the Older Medieval part of the town made into a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a fascinating trip into the past, or going south, Lindos Acropolis stands tall over the centuries. Whether it is a relaxing holiday round the pool or soaking up the culture of this lovely island, Elysian Afandou ticks all the boxes!
