This small, cosy seaside resort is considered by many, especially families, as their summer retreat. Schönhagen has a sandy beach, approximately 1000 metres long and protected by lifeguards. It seamlessly connects to the beach of Kappeln in the north and to a steep coast in the south. On the beach, directly behind the small promenade, there are 60 comfortable cottages. A typical holiday in the Baltic Schönhagen goes something like this - wake up to the sound of the sea on stormy days, stroll on the beach on freezing cold winter days, then relax in a sauna or hot tub. Wrap up the day in the cosy living room in front of the fireplace. You can spend sunny days on the beach or lounge on the sun terrace and enjoy the magnificent sunsets.
