Description

Steinheid is located on the 170 km long Rennsteig, the most frequented, long hiking path in Germany. A bakery is located right across the house. Neuhaus and Steinach are located about 7 km away and await you with several restaurants.
Visit the Farbglashütte Lauscha (11 km), which has the long and proud tradition of glass making and the glassblowing art work. Worth visiting are also the tourist mine Morassina in Schmiedefeld (17 km) and the Oberweis Bergbahn (25 km). Steep stairs lead you to the basement. The ground floor, as well as the top floor has a fireplace which makes you enjoy cosy hours.
