A comfortable vacation home in a very well-kept vacation home settlement awaits you. Located on the southern slope of the Hungerberg with a lookout tower, it welcomes you in Marienmünster or in the recreational and climatic health resort of Vörden in North Rhine-Westphalia. A few hundred meters away on your hike you will come across one of the most beautifully situated Benedictine abbeys in northern Germany, Marienmünster Abbey, which also gave the town its name. Here you can stop, admire the architecture and enjoy a magnificent view all the way to the Teutoburg Forest. The vacation village is the starting point for well-signposted trails that invite you to go Nordic walking and mountain biking, among other things. And if afterwards a cooling or refreshment is necessary, then you can reach the indoor swimming pool and the pubs of the central village Vörden in only a few hundred meters. Your vacation home is located in the western Weserbergland near the southern foothills of the Teutoburg Forest. In addition to the scenic attractions of this low mountain range rich in water and deciduous forests, you are also in one of the richest cultural landscapes in Germany. The German Fairy Tale Road, the Weser Renaissance Road, the World Heritage Site of Corvey Monastery and Castle, the Fürstenberg Porcelain Manufactory, Germany's largest open-air museum or the Westphalian Open-Air Museum in Detmold, the Externsteine, the Hermann Monument or the artists' town of Schwalenberg all entice you around. Shopping, a boat trip on the river Weser, pretty half-timbered houses and a wide range of cultural activities invite you to the nearby district town of Höxter.
