Description

This charming rural cottage is an ideal holiday home for families who would like to spend their vacation in the countryside and want to relax in the garden or the inviting swimming pool, while enjoying the beautiful views on the countryside. The house is very welcoming with its large kitchen and comfortable lounge with wood burner and the cozy three bedrooms upstairs decorated in a colorful rural style. This holiday house is part of a small group of 4 cottages as well as the main house of the owner, gathered around a large courtyard. Each house has its own private garden, and the guests can make use of the swimming pool, which is in an area not far away from the cottage. This quirky cottage is less suitable for guests who are less mobile. There is a lot to do in the area, which is known as 'Le Pays des Feuillardiers', the country of the chestnut woodcutters. Famous is the market of Piégut-Pluviers on Wednesday mornings, with its stalls full of local products, arts and crafts and flowers and plants. There are rivers and lakes nearby for fishing and swimming, and several local restaurants, well-known for their recipes for regional products. The nearest cities are Limoges, famous for its porcelain, medieval Angoulême and Périgueux, with its Roman archaeological sites. There are many interesting smaller towns and villages in the area which throughout the year hold festivals and markets.
