This Spacious holiday home is located in the small village of Mailhac, in the beautiful region of Occitanie, it includes a private pool and a large fenced plot. It is less than an hour from the seaside towns of Herault, La Grande-Motte, Le Cap d'Agde, Palavas-les-Flots, Carnon-Plage, Frontignan-Plage and Valras-Plage, ideal for beach lovers and those wanting to try out various water sports. The Villa is tastefully furnished which creates a very welcoming atmosphere. Through the living room you have access to the luminous veranda. The exterior is filled with luscious green plants and colourful flowers, which will make spending time in the garden a joy. In the garden is a large covered terrace where you will be able to enjoy the view of the village church. The large saltwater pool, with integrated stairs, can also be found in the garden. There you will be able to soak up the sun on comfortable sun loungers and there is even a covered space if the sun gets too hot for you. This quaint village, with a population of around 500, is a peaceful haven filled with local shops. The village is located halfway between the towns of Narbonne and Béziers, and just a few kilometres from the charming villages, Pouzols and Bize-Minervois. In Bize you can visit the local olive oil cooperative, where you can not only have a guided tour but actually partake in making oil and observe each stage of the production process. Mailhac and Pouzols also produce excellent wines, both surrounded by vineyards you will be spoilt for choice if you wish to go wine tasting. There are many beautiful excursions to enjoy in just a 40km radius, you can discover the magnificent Medieval City of Carcassonne (40km), with many historical sites to wonder at. The Canal du Midi (8Km) is definitely worth a visit, as is the beautiful village of Minerve. The Abbey of Fontfroide, a jewel in the local heritage will also make for a fascinating day trip. There is lots to discover in the City of Narbonne. More than more than 2 and half centuries old within the historic city centre you will be able to explore the Cathedral of Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur and the Palace of the Archbishops. Close by is the picturesque village of Lagrasse, ranked among the most beautiful in France, with its medieval houses and its abbey. On the Mediterranean lies the old village of Gruissan, comprised of narrow streets, two marinas and 2 Km away, its beautiful sandy beaches. The region has a range of hiking and bike trails that will take you on an adventures through gorges and valleys. Also to discover the nearby Cathares castles.
