Walk up the 86 steps to the Vielle Eglise, or old church, and once at the top, in the shade of centuries-old cedar trees, take advantage of a beautiful panorama over the Monts du Vaucluse, the charming villages of Gordes, Lacoste, and Roussillon, as well as orchards, cornfields, lavender fields, and vineyards. The Colorado of Provence or the ochre rocks at Rustrel and the majestic Mont Ventoux are wonderful destinations for vacationers who enjoy hiking. The fabulous source of the Sorgue at Fontaine-du-Vaucluse are also recommended.
