The Dalmatian city Split is well known for the Diocletian Palace. In ancient times, the emperor Diocletian decided to build his palace in this southern city. If you fast - forward to the present day, you have a unique opportunity to stay in a villa, in the elite settlement of Split called Meje. In this very neighbourhood, the famous Croatian artist Meštrović also lived, and there is a gallery for all the art lovers.

On the lowest floor of the villa there are two large living rooms, a library, a bathroom and a fully equipped open kitchen. On the south side there is a veranda with a partial view of the sea. On the first floor is the master bedroom and a large walk-in closet with a view of the sea and the city. In the bathroom, guests can use both a shower and a bathtub. Also, on this floor there are two additional bedrooms with a view of the city and the sea or the garden and the pool. Each room has an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in closet. If necessary, as an additional bed, there is a three-seater (160x200) for two people located on the top floor where there is 1 room and a bathroom. Each of the bedrooms has beds measuring 180x200.
On the second floor of this elegant villa is a double bed, a living room with a sofa bed for children, bathroom, terrace with a sea view and terrace overlooking the park. The guests have at their disposal the exercise equipment in the basement, the storage and an additional bathroom. Furthermore, there are three parking spaces in the garage and there is outside space for parking. On the west side of the villa, there is a seating furniture in a generously proportioned garden. Lovely olive trees are grown on the hill. You will be delighted at the sight of a fabulous and large swimming pool, with sunbeds for the use.
You should visit the historical churches, take a swim in the transparent and sparkling Adriatic Sea, jog in a park Marjan, loved by locals. The citizens of Split have a special custom of enjoying long coffee breaks, which you must experience. Only first- hand you can discover, why the Dalmatian word fjaka cannot be translated, but should be felt. British journalists tried to find the simplest definition for fjaka, enchanted with their visit to Dalmatia. Some say that “it is a psychophysical state when striving for nothing.
