Go fishing on your self catering holiday
We have some great cottages perfect for a fishing holiday. Below you can find more information about the type of cottages that we can offer.
Fishing cottages
Holiday cottages with this symbol, you can expect:
- the cottage is max. 300m from the water.
- it has a freezer with a minimum capacity of 30 liter.
- there often is an outdoor or indoor space for cleaning the fish and equipment.
Fishing cottages PLUS
In our fishing cottages, you can expect
- that the cottage is near great fishing opportunities.
- max. 300m from the water's edge
- freezer with large capacity (at least 60 liter by the coast / 30 liter inland).
- outdoor or indoor space for cleaning the fish and equipment.
Tip: many of our fish houses usually have more facilities than the ones mentioned above, for example a storage for fishing equipment and extra freezing capacity.
Please note: Holiday cottages located near exceptional fishing opportunities that may not meet all of the above, can still be classified as a fish house. You will find the exact details of each of the cottages in the house presentation.
The facilities of fishing houses may vary from country to country.
Fishing cottages - standard
In holiday cottages with this symbol, you can expect
- the cottage is max. 1000m from the water.
- it has a freezer with a minimum capacity of 60 liter.
- there is a rowing boat by the house, otherwise it is possible to rent it.
Boats
Usually a fishing cottage (both types) also comes with a boat, otherwise you can rent it. The size and capacity of the boat will match the surroundings.
Please note: Due to the temperature of the water the boats are only available from May to September. It may be possible to use the boat between September and May, BUT you have to contact us beforehand and we will check with the house owner.
Bad weather and strong winds may mean that it is not safe to use the boat. A refund based on this is not possible.
